Step 6 of Successfully Setting and Reaching Goals

Steps 1-5 were all about identifying goals, effectively writing them down and setting yourself up for success.  Step 6 is about measuring your success because you’ll have a lot of them along the way to your overall goal!

“Success…plan on it!”  and then acknowledge it!

6. DAILY “ARE WE THERE YET” CHECK IN
Use some form of record to keep track of your results. This can be a chart or stars for each day exercised on the calendar or a spreadsheet with measurements. Whatever form you choose, keep it updated daily. You will feel better about  yourself and you will have a visual affirmation of the progress you are making. You will also realize that any goal is usually a series of ups and downs. The tracking will enable you to keep going and give you feedback.  When you’ve reached an action step, mark it off and celebrate!  Then, it’s time to write more action steps!

I don’t believe you have to be better than everybody else. I believe you have to be better than you ever thought you could be.
